​​Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Sports Tourism Department with the City of Myrtle Beach. Volunteers play a vital role in our community. Opportunities exist for both individuals and organizations/groups. As a volunteer for these events, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you created so many memories for the athletes and their families. The City of Myrtle Beach Sports Tourism Staff are making preparations for upcoming events by prioritizing above all the safety of all those involved (participants, spectators, officials, referees, umpires and city staff) using the latest guidelines from the CDC, DHEC South Carolina and sports specific NGBs. 
Please note all volunteers for the City of Myrtle Beach who are 18+ are required to complete a background check.

Most events are all-day events with many different positions available (see event job descriptions below). Please note that most of these positions are located outside and volunteers should be prepared for any type of weather. Most volunteer shifts will be scheduled for at least four hour increments and may be adjusted based on the final event schedule.
