The Track & Field Development Series is a community event brought to you by the City of Myrtle Beach Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Department. Our goals are to: Introduce local youth to the sport of track & field; Provide current track & field athletes an out-of-season opportunity; Create awareness of opportunities provided by the Myrtle Beach Track & Field Club and the Spring Break Meets.
Breaking News! Olympic Gold Medalist in the Long Jump Brittney Reese (pictured above) will be appearing on Saturday October 9th at 9am to work with youth athletes in the Long Jump, speak to the group and be available for pictures. The silver medalist from Tokyo has won a total of ELEVEN Olympic and World medals and is the #2 all-time US Long Jumper with a personal best of 23' 11.75" (7.31m).
WHEN: 9am - Saturdays September 18th (Sprints/Hurdles); October 9th (High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault); November 13th (Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, Hammer)
WHERE: Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium (705 33rd Ave North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577)
